About Us

A Place to Share, Heal, Learn, and Serve

Strangers No More is a small community of open hearts and open minds — a place where everyone is welcome, and no one remains a stranger for long.
We gather to share meals, stories, laughter, and moments of quiet reflection. There’s no pressure to share — only the freedom to be yourself.

For Sharing

  • A home-cooked meal and friendly faces
  • Conversation, laughter, and your favorite topics (BYO!)
  • Freedom to simply listen, or join in when you’re ready

“When you walk through the door, you’re family — just don’t let the dog out!”

For Healing

  • Gentle prayer and spiritual connection
  • Reiki sessions and hugs (if you’d like one)
  • A space where your story can be heard — safely and without judgment

For Discussion & Learning

We love exploring life’s big questions together:

Guest speakers often join us via Zoom to introduce new topics for open discussion.

For Serving

Here, service comes from inspiration, not obligation.
You’re free to give, help, or simply be present.
Some of us have found deep friendships — even sibling-like bonds — that began right here.

Meeting Details

We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 PM for dinner — no cost, no strings attached.
You’re welcome to bring something to share if you’d like.
To coordinate dishes, call or text 757-575-2759, or reach out through our Contact Us page.

At 7:30 PM, our sharing and discussion begin (including our Zoom friends!).
To receive the Zoom link, email info@strangersnomore.org.

Meetings formally end around 8:30 PM, but many stay afterward for more conversation and connection.

Our Story

Strangers No More began on June 30, 2022, to create a space for genuine connection — something often missing in traditional church settings.
There’s no sermon here, no one in charge, and no set agenda. All viewpoints are welcome, and healing often begins simply by being invited.

Meeting in a home allows warmth, safety, and authenticity.
We’ve shared meals, prayers, laughter, and even local outings — like attending free concerts together.

Our Vision

We see this as a return to the early Christian model — small gatherings of faith, love, and discovery.
Our goal is not to grow large, but to grow closer.
Each home group is unique, and together, we may be witnessing the church of the future — one built on friendship, freedom, and divine connection.

There are no offerings or tithes. When expenses arise, they’re covered privately by those who feel called to give.

“God gives us complete freedom and unlimited potential.
We try to do the same here — to love freely, share openly, and remind each other that none of us are strangers anymore.”
